“imeanking” : Meena Malik, مينا ملك

“ملك” = king, derived from “مُلْكٌ” = kingdom

Therefore, i mean king. : imeanking.

my philosophy behind this blog is to  based off of the hadith-

الدال على الخير كفاعله

The one who points towards something good gets the same reward as the one who did the good itself.

I write to share the khayr.  Many of my posts are merely things that my teachers have taught me and that I am passing along in the written word.

my personal motto in hopes of being a student of knowledge is based off of the Qur’anic dua-

رب زدنا علما

which two of my teachers translated in two different ways.

My Lord, increase me in knowledge.

My Lord, increase me by means of knowledge.

Keep us posted on the progress of the program at Bayyinah. Keep up the great work and don’t listen to naysayers who derided efforts of students of knowledge to raise funds for their education. Some Muslim ladies write against such efforts (see article link below), but don’t get disheartened or discouraged. I hope you gain fluency in the language and go back and teach it to your community.
